Originally from Phalaborwa, Limpopo, Kevin Cato is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa with more than 12 years’ experience in labour and employment law, litigation, and dispute resolution.

After completing his BCom and LLB degrees at North-West University, Kevin was admitted as an attorney in 2013 and gained his Right of Appearance in the High Court in 2018. He founded Cato Attorneys, a boutique labour and employment practice in Cape Town, before joining Maurice Phillips Wisenberg Inc., where he now leads the Labour & Employment Practice.

Kevin takes a practical, solution-driven approach to workplace matters. He advises and represents both employers and employees in all employment-related matters, including disciplinary and grievance proceedings, unfair dismissal disputes, retrenchments, contractual claims, and compliance matters, and appears regularly in the CCMA, Bargaining Councils, Labour Court, and High Court.
